There are multiple ways to develop and grow a yoga practice. Sometimes we are drawn to the mat for a physical (asana) yoga practice; other times, we seek a spiritual connection through prayer or meditation, or a time in reflection writing in our journals. Or maybe it’s a season of activity for you and you want to learn how to bring more calm to your day and create balance in your life - it’s all yoga!! Yoga helps us to connect with, and accept, our internal self - our desires, thoughts, emotions -  as well as helps us to connect more intentionally and authentically with others. The classes offered here are created to support you wherever you are in your journey, not only on the mat, but also in your day-to-day living.

Asana/Yoga Nidra Classes

Classes are accessible for all students, whether this is your first class or if you’ve been practicing for years. There is an invitation in each class to use props, such as pillows, blankets, blocks, or bolsters. Asana classes begin with a time for centering to prepare oneself for the physical practice. It is followed by a sequence of poses and concludes with Savasana. Most classes are 60 minutes in length, but can be customized to meet your needs.

Asana Class Options include: Yin, Restorative, and Slow-Flow. Asana classes can also be combined with other Yoga practices, such as journaling, a gratitude or surrender activity or a wellness topic.

Yoga Nidra is another style of class that is typically practiced on a yoga mat, but it does not follow the flow of the Asana classes. It begins with a few minutes of gentle movement, followed by time to settle into a comfortable savasana position to prepare for the practice of Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is a fully guided practice that follows a script for deep relaxation. It induces a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping and is often referred to as the Yoga of Sleep or Yogic Sleep. Most classes are between 30-45 minutes.
